Ground Support Equipment Mechanic

Location: Illesheim (Niemcy)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose system malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct deficiencies.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using technical manuals.
• Inspect, repair, and replace components, engines, transmissions, and sub-assemblies.
• Identify parts in repair manuals and place order requests for needed parts.
• Perform annual service on equipment fleet.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Trade school certification
• A minimum of two years of experience in powered Ground Equipment / vehicle maintenance
• The ability to speak, read and write English, and to comprehend technical data
• Must have a thorough knowledge of ground equipment repairs, troubleshooting of systems, sub-systems and associated equipment, and applicable publications.
• Experience in air-conditioning system repair is a plus.
• Forklift experience a plus.
