We are looking for a Mainframe Developer to join our Information Business Systems Team and work with IBA strategic clients.
As the Mainframe Developer you will be contributing to the success of our customer projects, maintain existing mainframe software and implement new functionalities and system enhancements throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
Main tasks & responsibilities:
- Creating technical specifications for new and modified programs and interfaces to existing products
- Developing code that conforms to the prototype and specifications, is maintainable and portable
- Troubleshooting production issues and creating source code changes to provide solutions
- Guiding other developers, support, or quality assurance in understanding the product architecture, new features, and identifying problem-solving strategies
- Planning implementation of new products and extensions
Qualifications:
Must have:
- Working experience as a Mainframe software developer
- Knowledge of z/OS programming in C or ASM
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Legal work permit in EU.
Good asset:
- Good understanding of z/OS operating system - JCL, ISPF, TSO/E, SDSF, JES, REXX
- Practical experience in the development and maintenance of complex, production-ready and high-performance applications
- Solid knowledge of relational databases and cross-platform development
- Working experience with IDEs (Eclipse, Visual Studio, IntelliJ, etc.) and distributed source code management systems (Git, GitHub, SVN, etc.)
- English level: B2 and higher
- German will be a plus.
